The 10 commandments



Saturdays are not just for weddings or cleaning your environment. Saturdays are for skin care.

Long before I became a beauty consultant you would see me on a day like this with baking soda, honey, mashed avocados, lemons, that really cheap foot scrub, nail file and what not. I would give myself the full work. By evening I will put my weave up in hair rollers, polish my nails with a beautiful colour, stand in front of the mirror and admire my skin, I glowed.

Now that I am a beauty consultant and have better knowledge on skin care, I don't really need so many things anymore. The products I use are just, well, precise.


• Cleanser

• Exfoliator

• Toner

• Face cream

• Eye cream

• Moisturizer

• Sunscreen


It's easier now to take care of my skin. And takes less time.


Just like healthy eating habits, there are also healthy skin care habits, all these products and skin care routines might really not work WELL if you don't give up some of your old habits.


Let's call these, the 10 commandments (For a good and healthy skin).


1. Wash up.


2. Avoid intense sun exposure.


3. Don't smoke.


4. Reduce stress.


5. Avoid dry skin.


6. Get enough sleep.


7. Wash your face twice a day.


8. Get clean after a workout.


9. Don't use skin care products that don't match your skin needs or type.


10. Do eat a balanced and healthy diet.
